“Join us at Black Cat Pottery’s Annual Spring Open House, now in its 16th year! See over 200 species of native plants—from seasonal forbs, grasses and ferns to native trees, shrubs and vines—in this unique Detroit garden. Every year, the native plants thrive and the wildlife shows up, from numerous pollinator species to birds of many feathers (not to mention the squirrels, possums and raccoons!) If you’re interested in learning more about the beauties and benefits of including (more) native plants on your property, join us!
The tour also features Black Cat Pottery’s garden inspired art; every purchase of Black Cat Pottery designs garners you a free Fairy house! We are excited to feature plants from Wild Ginger Woodlands grown by our friend Sally Westveer Garrod to help plump up your native plant garden, as well as the fabulously talented watercolorist Rebecca Frick Butler, who will be doing some plain-air painting in the gardens during the tour as well. We will also be welcoming representatives human and otherwise from Motor City Possum Rescue to share about their mission.
This self-guided tour is free and open to the public; no registration is required.”
