Clammy Weed is an unusual annual native plant of Michigan. It tends to occur in disturbed areas in sand, clay or gravel. It has short white petals and red “whiskers” (actually stamens). It has sticky glands all over it and a funny smell. This plant grows, flowers and sets seed in one season. It spreads by seed.
