Cream Gentian is considered endangered or even extirpated (extinct in the state) from the state. How does that happen? It’s the destruction of prairie habitat plus invasive species.

The foliage of this plant is similar to bottle gentian with smooth, green, opposite leaves. The flowers are cream rather than blue and a little more open than bottle gentian.
