Rue Anemone is a short plant that blooms early in the season before the leaves have come out on the trees. Rue Anemone is similar to False Rue Anemone. However, its leaves are not as deeply lobed. The flowers can have more than five petals, while false rue anemone always has five petals. Rue anemone may also be found in drier woods. The white or pinkish flowers are a part of the spring ephemeral show.
